The Supreme Court
The Supreme Court rules on cases in three areas of law: civil law, criminal law and tax law. This chapter discusses the cases handled in these areas of law, also devoting attention to the role of the Procurator General’s Office and the decisions rendered by the Supreme Court. Afterwards, this chapter discusses the interpretation and application of European Union law, the duties assigned to the fourth division of the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court’s composition in 2022.
